So far - I am impressed

"So far, I am very impressed with the quality and durability of the bag. That said, it's only been three weeks, and I still have some concerns about the magnet. Fingers crossed, but thus far it has performed well and continues to look great."

Obsessed

"Only here to leave a review (which I never do), because I’m obsessed with mine. I’ve had mine almost a year and never had an issue with it staying closed. If you try to stuff it totally full the button may pop, but maybe consider a suitcase if this is the volume need of an everyday backpack. Buying in a second color. I love!"

HORRIBLE closing design

"I usually never write reviews, but this bag deserves one. I was looking for a nice backpack to use for school and work and that was water resistant. I thought that the City Backpack Weather Resistant was perfect for what I was looking, and it had a good size. However, when I got it it was way too big for what I wanted, and what's worse is the magnet for closing is not stron AT ALL, the bag opens all the time and things fall out. I haven't been able to use the backpack because I'am scared of loosing my things."

the things you carry remain exposed

"I really loved this backpack, bough in yellow. I wanted it big as I always curry things with me and unfortunately the bag stays open. The button just keeps opening up no matter what"

Love Mine!!

"I was torn between the Ivy Green and Grid Black and decided on Ivy Green. I LOVE how spacious it is, and if I need just that little more space, I adjust the buckle. The side pockets are godsend especially when I need to whip my umbrella out (weather resistant indeed) or have a quick drink from exhausting walks without having to hoist it over and dig around. City's height is also just right for me as I need to access my stuff easily (they'd get lost in a black hole of Survey for sure) and to make it perfect I popped a bag organiser in it. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE MORE WEATHER RESISTANT COLOURS (hint: my favourite prints so far from Herschel were Plaid, nature themed - flowers and birds and Sea/Deep Green). The one improvement I hope to see is wider and padded handle, as sometimes I gotta bring my bag down and hold it in a packed train."

a problem

"The bag is very pretty, but the spring clasp is very flimsy; it's absolutely impossible to carry a laptop in it. Even with just my glasses case and wallet, the spring clasp gives way and the bag remains permanently open. I was very disappointed."

It sucks

"This backpack doesn’t stay closed at all"

Exactly what I wanted

"Perfect size, super cute, and definitley weather resistant"

Elizabeth R. (5/5)

"I liked the front zipper pocket and inner sleeve pocket. The bag is definitely waterproof! I took it out in a very rainy Vancouver day and im usually walking outside for a good portion of the day. The only down side is it is awkwardly large(but it might be I am 5’2” and smaller) and a bit clunky to get things out of it in a hurry. Pretty decent bag!"

Backpack’s lifespan to be just around five years

"I’ve been using this backpack for about four to five years, and today the only strap that keeps it securely closed suddenly snapped. Looking at the break, it seems like the material has aged and given out over time. I honestly didn’t expect a backpack’s lifespan to be just around five years… If it were a shoulder strap, I could understand, since I sometimes carry heavy items, but the part that broke was really unexpected. That said, this backpack has been amazing overall — excellent waterproofing, very practical compartments, and great usability. I’m just not sure if I’ll purchase the same model again."
