"I bought this duffle bag for my hubby to use for the gym, because I had bought Herschel backpacks for my kids that lasted 7+ years. Unfortunately, after less than two years the leather straps (obviously not real leather) have degraded and worn out on the edges, which is disappointing and not up to the usual standard I expect from Herschel. Everything else on the bag looks great so I might buy a different version without these straps, which are clearly inferior quality."
"My "new" bag arrived out of the package with a hole through the mesh of the interior pocket. Subsequent requests to Herschel to address this or arrange an exchange have gone unanswered. I'm very dissapointed. It seems you roll the dice with every Herschel online purchase these days. Sometimes it's new, sometimes it's used / damaged and there's nothing you can do about it."
"I am very pleased with the service I received from Hershel’s. I had a bag I owned for a few years that shortly after having it had a malfunctioning zipper. The warranty process was straight forward and I appreciated the discount on my new bag as I no longer had a receipt. The new bag is such a nice colour and great material. I haven’t used it yet but just like my other one so I am sure it will be great!!"
"I bought this bag a few years ago because I loved the timeless way it looked. Fast forward, I have rarely used it and kept it stored in doors for its entire life on a shelf. I pulled it out to use for a weekend trip and the hand straps were flaking fake brown leather everywhere. And then when I got to my destination, one of the plastic side pieces where the shoulder strap hooks on broke while I was carrying the bag. The strap flew up and hit me right next to my eye. Left a bruise and was lucky I had sunglasses on. Bag wasn’t heavy either, only carrying clothes for a weekend."
